The Making Of: SACRIFICE

September 28, 2014

Spend a day in my kicks and witness the creation of Sacrifice. I painted an abstract portrait of a woman representing the sacrifice women make, have made, and will continue to make at the expense of gender inequality that still exists today. I used a process of painting and collage to match the fragmented and controversial emotion of the topic. I pieced the project together with settings and things I like doing, like skateboarding, to show the type of freedom of expression that we should all be able to enjoy as free and equal people in society.

Shout out to the people that helped me out with this. Love, respect, and art will make this world beautiful. We strive to appreciate indivduals for their morals and merits and not their outward expression of appearance. A good friend of mine put it well: We are all different. We are all the same. Peace. Dd
